In an old Chat Room many years ago I observed that Chatters were very much offended by fellow Chatters who used all caps in their sentences. They alleged that using all caps is tantamount to shouting. I felt, at the time, and I still do, that that is a ridiculous notion. For me to say that someone is shouting at me, I need to be able to hear/him her. That is why God gave us five physical senses.

I saw this as yet another case of cyberspace brainwashing.
