Quite saddened to hear that Mark Gil has passed away. His first role ever was for a TV script I wrote titled "Paghihiganti Ng Isang Bata" on Malikmata, directed by Lupita Concio, in the late 70s. He may not even have remembered me during the following years as his career escalated, especially since that script was videotaped at a time when his parents were at the height of their marital turmoil, but I will always think of him as that angelic-looking young boy who loved singing and who was determined to make it big as an actor.
