Watched Forbidden Planet on TCM last night. I am sure that many people consider it corny now, but I enjoyed and appreciated it for the efforts that were exerted to create it. The production design and sound/music must have been breakthroughs when the movie was first released. Indeed, to me, they were the real protagonists.
