Went to the Octagon.
Today the sea is female once again, a swath of blue crepe embellished with sun sequins, a liquid mane being gently brushed by the breeze, a pallet of comfort for disabled angels to lie upon.
These are the only things I shall miss after my retirement:
1) The view of the ocean from the back yard of the office, with a stretch of Roxas Boulevard on the left, the CCP complex and Cavite in the distance, a faint image of Corregidor on the horizon, and the back side of H2O Hotel on the right. I will especially want to hear, over and over again, the intermittent music and game emcee announcements that waft in from Hotel H2O.
2) Rallies
3) Emerald Garden's ham sui kok and taro pie
4) Plaza Nuestra Senora de Guia, formerly Plaza Fergusson, and its giant banyan trees
